FREE Artist Workshops for Children with Miss Julie - Romero Britto Sports - Saturday, October 17, 2026

Brazilian-born and Miami-made, Romero Britto is a celebrated living visual artists. Pablo Picasso, Henry Matisse, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Roy Lichtenstein influenced him to create a completely new artistic style using vibrant, bold, and colorful patterns to reflect his optimistic view of the world. Each student will create a mixed media piece celebrating their favorite sport or hobby. All supplies provided. To register by October 15, call (563) 263-8282.

In the “Artist Workshops for Children”, formerly known as “Kids Saturday Workshops”, kids can join Miss Julie to create their own masterpieces! In these free workshops, children ages 7 to 14 can learn about the lives and works of famous artists from around the world, usually in their birthday month. Participants will recreate a project in the featured artist's style. Throughout the year there will be additional classes where we'll learn about other cultures, celebrate different holidays, and more!
