FREE Artist Workshops for Children with Miss Julie - The Vision of René Magritte - Saturday, November 21, 2026

Celebrate René Magritte on his 128th birthday. This Belgian surrealist artist was known for his depictions of familiar objects in unfamiliar and unexpected contexts. Each young artist will create a personal or imaginary landscape glimpsed just beyond the door. All supplies are provided. To register by November, please call (563) 263-8282.

In the “Artist Workshops for Children”, formerly known as “Kids Saturday Workshops”, children ages 7 to 14 years of age can join Miss Julie to create their own masterpieces! In these free workshops, children can learn about the lives and works of famous artists from around the world and recreate a project in their style. Throughout the year there will be additional classes where we will learn about other cultures, celebrate different holidays, and more!
