Artist Workshops for Kids with Miss Julie - Thomas Bewick's "Nature Illustration" - August 16

Thomas Bewick was an English wood-engraver and natural history author of the late 1th and early 19th century. A foremost authority on British birds, he engaged the imagination of many admirers, including Emily Bronte who most notably included a reference to Bewick in her novel Jane Eyre. Students will try their hand at creating their own nature illustration. 

This free class is open to kids ages 7 to 14 and their families. Please register by August 14 by calling the Muscatine Art Center at 563-263-8282.

In the “Artist Workshops for Kids”, formerly known as “Kids Saturday Workshops”, kids can join Miss Julie to create their own masterpieces! In these free workshops, kids can learn about the lives and works of famous artists from around the world, usually in their birthday month. Participants will recreate a project in the featured artist's style. Throughout the year there will be additional classes where we'll learn about other cultures, celebrate different holidays, and more!
