Joseph Cornell (1903-1972) was a collector at heart – a collector of things and of ideas. This self-trained New York artist pieced together photos, magazine clippings, glass bottles, blocks, and other found objects to create his masterpieces. He is best known for his boxes and collages. In this class, each young artist will select a variety of trinkets and materials to design a one-of-a-kind assemblage that tells a story or represents a memory.
