Footliters Traveling Playhouse Final Performance at Muscatine High School Auditorium - July 18 DOORS OPEN AT 6 PM!
The Muscatine community is invited to a free performance of The School for Spies, an original musical featuring local talent. From July 14 through July 18, area kids ages 7 to 18, auditioned, rehearsed, and will perform the musical alongside three professional teaching artists. The School for Spies is a brand-new production with a script from Katie Colletta and original music by Jason Sifford. The theater camp was organized by the Footliters Traveling Playhouse, part of the Coralville Center for Performing Arts. The camp was offered at no cost, thanks to the support of Quad City Arts, through the Arts Dollars re-granting program, supported by the Illinois Arts Council Agency, a state agency, The Hubbel-Waterman Foundation, and the Quad Cities Community Foundation - Isabel Bloom Art Education Endowment.
About "The School For Spies"
It’s a brand new year at the School for Spies, an elite training program for spy recruits, run by the Global Intelligence Agency. But when the powerful Moon Cube goes missing, the school is thrown into turmoil. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to join a world of secret agents and espionage to crack the case.
The Footliters Traveling Playhouse Experience
We believe theatre is for everyone. Each student receives a role, a costume, and the support they
need to shine in this performance. Our team has decades of experience creating welcoming,
engaging children's theatre programs.
From the first rehearsal to the final curtain, we believe theatre should be educational. We'll be
teaching every student skills like projection, improvisation, creative problem solving, and how to work
together to tell a story. We'll also be learning about the Bermuda Triangle, and exploring some of the
most fascinating (and daring!) corners of the ocean ecosystem!
The camp is supported by Quad City Arts, through the Arts Dollars re-granting program, supported by The Illinois Arts Council Agency, a state agency, The Hubbell-Waterman Foundation, and the Quad Cities Community Foundation - Isabel Bloom Art Education Endowment.
