Jean Philippe Arthur Dubuffet was a French painter best known for coining the term "Art Brut," a phrase used to describe artists who were not formally trained and who often worked outside mainstream culture. Participants will create a colorful and “brutish” art inspired by Dubuffet’s Dogs.
In the “Artist Workshops for Kids”, formerly known as “Kids Saturday Workshops”, kids can join Miss Julie to create their own masterpieces! In these free workshops, kids can learn about the lives and works of famous artists from around the world, usually in their birthday month. Participants will recreate a project in the featured artist's style. Throughout the year there will be additional classes where we'll learn about other cultures, celebrate different holidays, and more!
