Join us for an evening learning about suminagashi ink, or "ink floating", and create your own marbled paper with swirling ink and water. The final result is an intricate design, but the process is quite simple!

Artist and naturalist, Emily Christenson graduated with a BFA in drawing and painting from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and has spent the last 19 years working with nature in her artwork documenting its role as teacher and healer. Later in life some traumatic experiences brought her deeper into her spiritual development and she now combines her artwork with her spiritual gifts teaching workshops and helping others connect to their creativity and soul’s growth. She has taught workshops with Living Proof Exhibit since 2014 and now lives in the boreal forests along the North Shore of Lake Superior where she maintains her painting studio and spiritual healing practice.

This session will be held in the Muscatine Art Center studio. Sessions are free and open to anyone impacted by cancer.

Living Proof Exhibit provides the therapeutic benefits of the arts to those impacted by cancer. Each month LPE partners with different community organizations throughout the Quad Cities and beyond to bring free Creative Sessions to patients, survivors, families, and caregivers.
