"Call of the Matterhorn" Theater Camp with Footlighters Traveling Playhouse- July 17-21
Footliters Traveling Playhouse is a new touring program of Young Footliters Youth Theatre. Together with master teaching artists, we're creating engaging theatre experiences for students across Iowa. Our week-long camps are open to students of all backgrounds, experience levels, and training. Footliters Traveling Playhouse is committed to "engaging and empowering students through an immersive, inclusive theatre experience." We put our students first and collaborate with parents and communities to make our theatre a safe and exciting space for all.

Footlighters Traveling Playhouse Camp is intended for kids ages 7-18, and is FREE OF CHARGE. Camp dates are Monday, July 17-Friday, July 21. Camp runs every day from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at MCC's Bob Roach Little Theatre. There will be a FREE public showing Friday, July 21 at 6:30 p.m. so families can see their production of "The Call of the Matterhorn". Donations appreciated.
About "The Call of the Matterhorn": High above the foothills of the Swiss alps, one snowy mountain towers above them all – a mountain only for the bravest of heart. Join us for a musical adventure filled with magic, mystery, and tests of true character! Together we’ll climb to the highest peak. Only one question remains… will YOU answer The Call of the Matterhorn? Designed for students at all levels of theatre experience, campers will audition, rehearse, and perform a musical alongside three professional teaching artists...in one week! The Call of the Matterhorn is a brand new production with a script by Katie Colletta and original music by Jason Sifford.
Young Footlighters Youth Theatre is part of the Coralville Center for Performing Arts. This project is supported by Quad City Arts, through the Arts Dollars re-granting program, supported by the Illinois Arts Council Agency and the Hubbell-Waterman Foundation.
