EDUCATION PROGRAMSArt classes, special lectures, opening receptions and concerts are offered on a regular basis to people of all ages with a common interest in history and the arts. The Art Center’s non-circulating reference library is also available to visitors. The Art Center offers a variety of art classes and workshops throughout the year. be made by mail or by stopping by the Muscatine Art Center, 1314 Mulberry
Avenue, Muscatine, IA 52761. Pre-registration is required and space is
limited. Art Center hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm,
Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
Cancellations must be received 7 days prior to the class to receive a refund of
fees. Some scholarship money is provided by Friends of the Muscatine Art Center, Inc. for families who would otherwise have difficulty paying class fees. The general guideline for awarding these scholarships is that your family meets the income requirements for the free or reduced lunch program through the schools. Children who qualify may enroll in one class each per semester free of charge. Mrs. Smith will take you and your guests on a Magic Carpet ride with stories, crafts, and games! We’ll even help you arrange a birthday party – you bring the refreshments, we’ll provide the fun!
